Wakeparadise Milano runs a UNIT Surf Pool standing wave floating on the Idroscalo, a lake near Milan's Linate Airport, open since June 2019 alongside the venue's existing cable wake park. It's a 10-meter-wide freshwater standing wave with a face up to 1.6 meters, one of the earlier UNIT installations in Europe.
The UNIT system pumps water over a shaped floating platform to produce a continuous standing wave you ride in place, adjustable across beginner, intermediate, and pro settings. Because it floats on open lake water rather than a sealed pool, the water is spring-fed and regularly replaced.
Milan-area surfers and wakeboarders wanting reps on a real standing wave without leaving the city, and anyone already at the venue for the cable wake park looking to add a session. Group bookings work best for friends riding together, since time on the wave is split across everyone in your slot.
A one-hour group session (up to 12 surfers) runs about EUR 45, plus a one-time EUR 15 injury-insurance membership required on a first visit. Under a full group of 8, expect roughly 7.5 minutes of actual surf time per person. A private one-hour session runs about EUR 420.
Book online ahead, particularly on warm-weather weekends when the cable park and wave both get busy. Wetsuits are worth bringing outside summer since it's open lake water, not heated.
