Southern Shores

Southern Shores is a private residential watersports community in the Hurricane Valley near St. George, Utah, about 30 minutes from Zion National Park. The 80-acre development has 56 custom home sites, 34 of them lakefront with a private boathouse and dock, set around three lakes: a UNIT surf pool, a cable wakeboard lake and a boating lake. It runs on privately owned water drawn from the aquifer beneath the land. The same builder, Immaculate Homes, is also developing Zion Shores.

The surf lake is a UNIT Surf Pool, a deep-water standing wave about 52 feet wide, made in Germany and installed in June 2023. It shares the property with a cable wakeboard lake and a boating lake, so it is one part of a private watersports layout rather than a standalone attraction. The operator says it can be surfed on any surfboard.

Prospective homebuyers considering a lakefront or estate lot in the community. This is not a public wave pool: there is no day-pass, walk-in session, or visitor program, so it isn't a park you can plan a trip around unless you're buying property here.

There is no session pricing because this is not a bookable venue. When lots went on sale in 2023, the 34 lakeside lots were priced up to $2.5 million and the others from $622,000 to $1.1 million. The builder now asks buyers to contact it for lots and pricing.
