RheinRiff

RheinRiff is an indoor surf, beach club and event venue in Düsseldorf with 9,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor space, built around a 9-meter-wide Citywave standing wave. The operator bills it as the world's largest indoor surf hall and the city's first indoor surf wave. Surfing runs in four levels, from complete beginner courses to advanced sessions.

The same wave runs different settings through the day: coached Level 0 and Level 1 courses for beginners, open Level 2 and Level 3 sessions for surfers who ride independently, with Level 3 at the highest wave setting for carves and turns, and 60-minute Focus sessions for Levels 2 and 3 with a smaller group and more time on the wave.

Rhineland surfers who want structured repetition without driving to a coast, and beginners who want a coached pathway rather than a single novelty session. The level structure is built for coming back.

Level 2 and Level 3 open sessions start at €39.99 and Focus sessions at €59.99. Coached courses cost more because they include instruction: the Level 1 course starts at €89.99 and the Level 0 course, for complete beginners, at €119.99. For kids, a Level 1 session starts at €34.99, a Level 0 course at €99.99 and the Wave Kids camp at €399. Sessions and courses open for booking about three weeks ahead, so book early for evenings and weekends. If you have never ridden a standing wave, take a Level 0 or Level 1 course rather than an open session. U-Bahn lines U70 and U76 stop at D-Lörick, a few minutes' walk away; drivers should use car parks P3 and P4. Showers and changing rooms are indoors behind the wave.
