Russia's only real surf wave, properly equipped and actively running competitions. A significant venue regionally, and effectively out of reach for most international surfers under current conditions.
Flow Moscow runs a Citywave standing wave alongside an indoor skydiving wind tunnel in the Lyublino area of southeast Moscow, with a surf hostel next door. It is the only professional surf wave in Russia, open daily, and hosted the Flow Surf Cup in 2026.
The wave stands 1.4 metres high across a 7.5-metre width in a 15-metre pool, ridden on real surfboards across beginner, intermediate and pro settings. Board, leash and helmet are included, with a minimum age of ten and a 30 to 120 kilogram weight range.
Moscow-based surfers, for whom this is the only option in the country short of a flight, and kids through the dedicated courses. The adjacent hostel makes multi-day training trips workable for riders coming from elsewhere in Russia.
Group classes run roughly 5,200 to 10,000 roubles an hour depending on the slot, with private hire of the whole wave from about 33,000 to 50,000 roubles an hour. Board, leash and helmet are included in the session.
Open daily from 10am to 11pm, about a 15-minute walk from Lyublino metro. Domestic visitors book through the operator directly. International visitors should resolve payment before planning anything else.
