Honna Surf Hub

Honna Surf Hub runs a standing wave at the X-Madrid complex in Alcorcón, southwest of central Madrid. It opened on 21 November 2019 as Citywave Madrid, which it describes as the first artificial surf wave in Spain, and now operates as a surf school with levels from first-timer to pro, a kids program, a restaurant, a shop and organized surf trips.

Sessions are grouped by level: a first-timer session for anyone new to Honna, an intermediate and pro session for surfers who have ridden the wave before and can handle it, and kids' sessions for ages 8 to 15 with two instructors. Session length depends on group size: 25 minutes for one to three people, 45 minutes for four to ten.

Madrid surfers who want repetitions without driving to the coast, and beginners who want a structured pathway rather than a single session. The surf-trip program makes it a hub for people who also surf the ocean, which is unusual for an inland wave.

A first-timer session is €49.90 and intermediate and pro sessions €39.90, as are kids' sessions for ages 8 to 15. Sessions run 45 minutes for groups of four to ten and 25 minutes for one to three. A 10-session pass is €359 and a 20-session pass €680, and a private My Wave booking is €459. A Community card for 2026 costs €89 a year and comes with extra advantages. Book ahead for evenings and weekends. Groups of four or more get 45 minutes rather than 25, so a bigger booking is better value per minute. The La OLA restaurant overlooks the wave, so non-surfers have somewhere to sit.
