L&T Hasewelle

The Hasewelle is a Citywave standing wave built into the L&T Sporthaus department store in central Osnabrück, open since March 2018. It sits in an open area that shoppers can look down on from the floors above, which makes it one of the most unusual settings of any wave in this directory.

A Citywave standing wave in a 15 by 7.5 meter pool, with waves up to 1.40 meters, set to each group's level by the instructors. Sessions give 45 minutes of active surf time; the operator says beginners average about 8 rides in that time and advanced surfers, riding every 30 seconds, more.

Northern German surfers wanting repetitions between North Sea trips, beginners, since all the gear is provided, and anyone who finds the idea of surfing inside a department store too good to skip.

A 45-minute session in a group of up to 10 costs €49 for adults from 15 and €39 for children aged 8 to 14. Board (a softboard), wetsuit and helmet are provided. Multi-session cards come in packs of 5, 10 and 20. Read from l-t.de on 26 September 2026.

Sessions run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with slot times in the online booking tool. Arrive about 30 minutes early to fill in the paperwork and change. Bring swimwear, a towel and flip-flops; everything else is provided.
