Surf London

Surf London is a planned £60 million surf destination at Lee Valley Leisure Complex in Edmonton, Enfield, north London, beside Lee Valley Athletics Centre, developed by Crest Experiences with Lee Valley Regional Park Authority. The project was previously known as The Wave London, led by The Wave Group Ltd, which has since been renamed Crest Experiences. Enfield Council's planning committee approved it on 16 September 2025, subject to a Section 106 agreement and referral to the Greater London Authority, because the site is Green Belt. In February 2026 the developer said the GLA had approved it and full planning permission had been granted, along with an Environment Agency permit; it is now completing detailed design, tender and fundraising and finalising the lease with the park authority, and targets opening in 2028. The development would sit on 56 acres of a roughly 100-acre site.

An Endless Surf ES48 lagoon on a 200-metre-wide surfing lake. The park authority says it will produce up to 1,000 waves an hour, from 50 cm up to almost 2 metres, for everyone from first-timers to surfers training for the Olympics.

Londoners once it opens: it would be a surf lagoon inside Greater London. The parkland is planned to be free to visit, with an admission fee for the lakeside and activities.

No surf prices have been published. The parkland will be free to visit; access to the lakeside and activities south of the lake will need an admission fee.
