A well-sited proposal that would put a full surf lagoon inside London for the first time, but still short one planning approval and years from opening.
Surf London is a planned 200-meter Endless Surf lagoon at the Lee Valley Leisure Complex in Enfield, north London, developed by Crest Experiences in partnership with Lee Valley Regional Park Authority. Local planning approval came in September 2025 on a 100-acre site, though final sign-off from the Greater London Authority is still pending since the land is designated Green Belt. The stated budget is £60 million, with construction targeted to start in 2026 and an opening around 2027.
The lagoon uses Endless Surf's ES-series pneumatic technology, the same family running at O2 SurfTown Munich and planned for The Point in Florida, producing waves that travel and peel down the pool rather than a fixed standing wave. The developer states up to 1,000 waves per hour with face heights from about half a meter to two meters, enough range to run true beginner whitewater through advanced sessions.
Nobody yet, since nothing has broken ground. Once open, this would be the first surf lagoon inside Greater London itself, a different proposition from The Wave Bristol's edge-of-city location, aimed at Londoners who currently have no lagoon within the city.
No pricing has been published. Treat any figure you see elsewhere as speculation until Surf London publishes a real rate card closer to opening.
