Potentially the Southern Hemisphere's biggest wave with a genuine culture-club vision, but access questions and a slipping date mean watch, don't book.
Brasil Surfe Clube is building an Endless Surf ES48 lagoon in the Região dos Lagos near Búzios, about two and a half hours east of Rio de Janeiro, with a stated 2026 opening target. It is the first of two announced BSC projects and, at ES48 scale, is slated to be among the largest wave pools in the Southern Hemisphere.
The ES48 is Endless Surf's big format: more than 750 waves per hour with rides up to 23 seconds, built in a Myrtha stainless-steel basin for clear water. Same pneumatic family as O2 SurfTown MUC and The Point, scaled up. Zoned peaks will run beginner and expert settings simultaneously.
Members, on the Soho House-inspired model the founders describe: surfing plus wellness, art, and culture programming. How much non-member access exists is not yet clear, so treat this as a club first.
Membership pricing has not been published. No day-session pricing is confirmed; we will update when the access model is official.
Búzios is a resort peninsula with real ocean surf at Geribá and nearby beaches, an easy add-on to a Rio trip. Until BSC clarifies access, plan around Surfland Brasil if you want bookable pool waves in Brazil.
