The Gulf's first Cove, with government-scale backing and a real construction contract in progress. A credible 2026-2027 opening and a significant new stop on the regional surf map.
Bahrain Surf Park, branded as the Club Hawaii Experience, is under construction at Bilaj Al Jazayer on Bahrain's southwest coast as the anchor attraction of a 1.3 million square meter beachfront development. The Wavegarden Cove is sized for up to 90 surfers at once and around 1,000 waves per hour, with opening targeted for 2026.
A full-scale Cove serving all levels simultaneously across zoned peaks, the Gulf's first Wavegarden. Between this, Surf Abu Dhabi's Kelly Slater wave, and Aquarabia's Endless Surf lagoons in Saudi Arabia, the Gulf is assembling every major wave technology within a short flight.
Bahrain residents and Gulf-based expats, plus regional surf tourists once open. Projections of 300,000 annual visitors and 140,000 surf sessions suggest a volume operation aimed at beginners through intermediates, with expert settings in the mix.
No pricing announced. Gulf reference points run from premium (Surf Abu Dhabi) to family-oriented; where Bahrain lands will define its market.
Nothing bookable yet. Bahrain is a short hop from every Gulf hub, and the Bilaj Al Jazayer beach district is about 30 minutes from Manama. Watch for opening announcements late in 2026.
