No standalone system price has been published. Crest's membership pricing, reported from $35,000, reflects club access rather than a construction cost.

HOW IT WORKS

Premier Surf Systems is a proprietary pneumatic design, using air pressure to generate waves the way PerfectSwell and Endless Surf do rather than the mechanical-foil approach of Wavegarden or SwellMFG. Crest's own materials describe a system capable of delivering different wave 'playlists' to individual surfers within the same session, and the design process used computational fluid dynamics modeling, the same methodology used in the original Kelly Slater Surf Ranch development.

BACKGROUND

Premier Surf Systems was formed in 2017 when Crest Surf Clubs approached fluid mechanics engineer Alexandre Poirot to design a custom wave basin for its Long Island club. Poirot previously worked on wave-generation technology at Kelly Slater Wave Co, including contributions to Surf Ranch and Surf Abu Dhabi, and serves as Premier Surf Systems' CTO. The company operates as a separate entity that develops and licenses the technology rather than an in-house Crest department, though Crest Surf Clubs in Shirley, New York is its only announced installation so far.
