EpicSurf is a deep-water standing wave: a continuous, adjustable flow runs over a shaped surface to hold a stationary wave face that a surfer rides in place rather than paddling into. The height adjusts quickly between settings, and the Heroes Paradise installation adds retractable training bars for beginners.
ADG (Aquatic Development Group), based in Cohoes, New York, says it has provided design, build and equipment services to more than 4,000 aquatic facilities over more than 50 years, and its WaveTek pneumatic wave systems date to the 1980s. EpicSurf is its deep-water standing-wave line. The first EpicSurf, an ES46 with 46 feet of surfable width, opened at Heroes Paradise in Brandon, Florida on 19 June 2026, designed and built at ADG's headquarters in upstate New York.
