The best wave concept on this list and the least evidence of momentum. File under dreams until proven otherwise.
Wisemans Surf Lodge is a members' surf club planned for a 45-acre property at Wisemans Ferry on the Hawkesbury River, about an hour from Sydney. The design brief is unique: a point-break-style Endless Surf lagoon inspired by Snapper Rocks, with rides up to 25 seconds at sustained heights around 2.3 meters.
Where most pools chase a-frame variety, Wisemans wants one long, reeling point wave, which would make it the only pool of its kind if built. The project originally announced SurfLoch technology before switching to Endless Surf in 2022.
Sydney surfers who would pay membership money for endless Snapper runners without the Superbank crowd. That is a real market, if the project reaches water.
Membership pricing has not been published.
Nothing to book, and URBNSURF Sydney covers the region's pool needs today. One to revisit if the project shows signs of life.
