The Surf Lounge at PopStroke is open and sells sessions to the public. Sessions start from USD 75 for 40 minutes. It runs Citywave in The Colony, Texas, USA.
Verified August 2026
A well-built urban Citywave that came through the PopStroke takeover with walk-in access restored on Mondays at $75 a session. Good value for regular DFW riders, and worth checking the current schedule before turning up.
The Surf Lounge at PopStroke is the Citywave standing-wave venue at the Grandscape district in The Colony, north of Dallas. It opened in 2024 as Fireside Surf, Texas's first stationary wave, and was taken over by Tiger Woods' PopStroke Entertainment Group, reopening on March 5, 2026 as The Surf Lounge. Dining is open to the public, and so is the wave on Mondays: PopStroke runs a walk-in window from 11am to 8pm through Labor Day at $75 for 40 minutes, with no membership and no booking required. Outside that window, surfing requires a Surf Membership.
The 2,000-square-foot Citywave sheet wave is unchanged from the Fireside era: adjustable deep-water flow ridden on real finned boards, from learn-to-surf settings to fast walls for experienced riders. Sessions run under the PopStroke membership program alongside the venue's mini-golf courses and poolside dining.
DFW locals willing to buy a Surf Membership for regular reps, and groups mixing dinner, mini golf, and wave time. Walk-up public surfing is no longer offered, so casual visitors should plan around the membership requirement.
Sessions are 40 minutes. Non-members can surf for $75 a session on Mondays between 11am and 8pm, running through Labor Day, with no membership or advance booking required; that fee can be credited toward a membership if you join. Memberships are $100 a month for two sessions, $400 a month for ten, and $750 a month for unlimited surfing, and all except the unlimited tier require a three-month commitment. Members can bring a guest for $100 per session. Food and beverage service is open to everyone during operating hours.
Check PopStroke's Grandscape page for Surf Lounge hours and membership details before visiting. Non-members can still eat, drink, and watch.
