A strong-market US debut for a serious operator. Credible plan, unstarted construction; check back after groundbreaking.
Jacksonville Surf Park is Aventuur's first US project, planned for the eTown masterplanned community on State Road 9B in Duval County, Florida. Construction is expected to begin in 2026 with an opening targeted for the fourth quarter of 2027, bringing a Wavegarden Cove to a genuine East Coast surf city.
A full Cove with surf academy programming layered on top, in a market that already surfs: Jacksonville Beach and the Poles produce real waves. The pool's pitch is consistency and coaching rather than novelty, closer to URBNSURF's model than a tourist attraction.
North Florida's large surf population, traveling East Coasters, and grom development programs. Between this, The Point, and Shell Point, Florida could hold three traveling-wave pools by 2028.
No pricing announced. Aventuur has not published rates for any of its parks yet; URBNSURF sessions are the family reference.
Nothing to book. Jacksonville's ocean surf is free and often decent; watch for the 2026 groundbreaking to judge the date.
