A sensible big-market project with a shifting history. Believe the date when dirt moves.
HTX Surf is a planned surf destination at Generation Park in northeast Houston, ten minutes from Bush Intercontinental airport. After originally announcing Endless Surf technology, the project switched to a 52-module Wavegarden Cove on a 5.5-acre lagoon. The stated goal is an opening by the end of 2027.
A 52-module Cove, the same format as DSRT Surf and Surfland Brasil, producing about 20 wave types across zoned peaks from learner rollers to barreling expert settings. Houston's flat, warm Gulf coast makes the market case obvious.
Houston's huge inland surf-curious population and Gulf surfers who currently drive to Waco for reliable waves. If it lands, Texas would have world-class pools at both ends of the I-45 corridor.
No pricing announced. Waco Surf's roughly 129 dollar advanced hour is the obvious in-state reference.
Nothing to book. Waco Surf remains the Texas session worth traveling for, and Fireside Surf covers DFW standing-wave reps in the meantime.
