HOW IT WORKS
YourWave is a standing wave built on chambered, air-filled forms, like a bouncy castle, rather than a concrete ramp. Changing the pressure in the chambers reshapes the wave in close to real time, from lefts and rights to a mellow front-on wave for beginners, and the surroundings are inflatable too.
BACKGROUND
YourWave was invented by Ross McCarthy, a New Zealand product designer, and its first large commercial installation opened in 2023 at Hāwea Flat, near Wanaka on New Zealand's South Island. The company sells wave units in different sizes to other operators.
