OVERVIEW

Veranda West is a mixed-use community rising west of I-15 in Draper, Utah, developed by The Wasatch Group and anchored by an 8.8-acre Endless Surf lagoon. The Draper City Council approved the amended master plan on June 9, 2026, clearing the way for surf-park construction to begin in the fall, with the wave targeted to open in 2028.

The residential program totals about 418 units, including more than 100 townhomes already built and close to 300 apartments, wrapped around a retail village with restaurants, wellness and recovery facilities, private cabanas, and event space. The lagoon runs on a closed-loop system that captures rainfall and snowmelt, and its operator has been selected by USA Surfing as a national team training site. It sits in Draper's transit station district, within reach of both Salt Lake and Utah counties.

THE WAVE
