Alchemy Surf Resort is a surf and hospitality project planned for the Placer One development in west Placer County, north of Roseville in the Sacramento region. It is proposed by Inland Surf Company, founded by Chris Gallardo with Andrea Gallardo. The Placer County Planning Commission approved the plans on 24 September 2026. The developer and its architect, AO, describe a 25-acre resort built around a 5-acre Wavegarden surf lagoon; the county says Inland Surf Company is aiming to break ground in spring 2027, and AO gives 2029 as the opening target.
The centrepiece is a 5-acre surf lagoon, with Wavegarden named as the wave technology vendor by the project's architect. Wavegarden's October 2026 project update describes a 62-module Cove in pre-contract; the developer's site, read again on 24 October 2026, now also says 62 modules, with 20 wave types across four zones. The county's approval also includes a separate standing wave pool, which the developer names as a Citywave, a deep-water standing wave up to six feet tall ridden on regular finned boards.
