THE VERDICT

A rare combo park, pairing a real saltwater Endless Surf lagoon with a separate FlowSurf standing wave inside a major new luxury destination. The most technically interesting opening in this batch, held back only by unpublished pricing and its remote, resort-only access.

OVERVIEW

ADRENA is a sports and entertainment district within The Red Sea, the Saudi giga-destination on the Red Sea coast, opened to the public March 1, 2026. It pairs a 215-meter Endless Surf ES36 lagoon with a separate FlowSurf standing wave, making it one of the few parks anywhere running two different wave technologies side by side, alongside wakeboarding, skate and BMX facilities, snorkel trails, and other adventure-sports attractions.

THE WAVE

The Endless Surf lagoon uses a closed-loop pneumatic system that draws and filters real Red Sea seawater, described as the world's first saltwater pneumatic wave pool, with Swell Studio software controlling wave height, shape, angle, and interval in real time up to 2.1 meters. The separate FlowSurf installation is a deep-water standing wave, the first FlowSurf in the Middle East, ridden in place on real boards with fins rather than paddled into.

BEST FOR

Travelers already visiting The Red Sea destination who want two different wave experiences in one stop: a traveling lagoon for down-the-line surfing and a standing wave for repetition practice, plus a full slate of other adventure-sports activities on the same site.

PRICING

No session pricing has been published for either the lagoon or the standing wave. Given the destination's positioning, expect this to sit at the premium end of the market once rates are released.

PLANNING

Book through The Red Sea destination's own resort and travel channels rather than expecting a standalone walk-up booking page. Given the saltwater system and two separate wave technologies, this is worth building a dedicated day around rather than treating as a quick stop.

Where to Stay

Access here effectively runs through The Red Sea destination's own resorts, so where you stay and how you book the surf end up being the same decision. Plan it as a resort stay you add surfing to rather than a session you drive to, and check the current arrangements when you book, because the destination is still opening in phases.

While You Are There

ADRENA sits within The Red Sea, a large purpose-built destination on Saudi Arabia's west coast, reached through its own airport and resort transfers rather than as an independent day trip. The setting is desert coastline and reef, with some of the least-dived coral in the world directly offshore. Access runs through the destination, so the surfing and the stay are one decision.

Best Time to Go

October through April. The Red Sea coast is hot year-round and punishing in high summer, so the cooler months are when the resorts and the outdoor activity around them make sense. Because access runs through the destination's own resorts, your dates are more likely to be set by resort availability than by session slots.
